I had tons of fun in the classroom this morning creating a demo coil bowl from clay for the students. I used a regular kitchen bowl lined with plastic wrap and placed the clay coils and shapes inside so they touched. After the entire area is filled, I smooth the clay in interior of the bowl and let it dry till leather hard. When it’s pulled out later you will be able to see all the designs of the original coils.
